Glass Walls and Empty Cages

Far too delicate and Far too dangerous are the shackles that bind me to Glass Walls and Empty Cages.

Eyebrows raise when I hear the call of the Wind -

Intangible,

Unforsaken,

Yet still out of place and aged.

Hoping to soar through the air with glass feathers,

And to break free from this empty cage.

But when glass breaks, Blood Spills,

And we feel the brisk sun from the early morn.

Laughing and Juggling fantasies to sleep at night, and keep my body warm.

Slowly I peak my head out,

Dreaming to fly in blue skies above,

Hoping to break free from empty cages,

Soaring through the Winds of Time with Wings of Love.

And still I turn,

But when I look back I never miss…

Cheering to Love,

Laughter,

And inevitably,

Death’s Final Kiss.
