The Locksmith

I’ve locked my heart in a crystal cell

And have thrown away the key

My past pleasures and pain,

A distant memory.

I have forged a safe space,

And there you will see,

that there is peace in my smiles

and love in my destiny.

I have traveled far and wide

to lock myself in this space,

Now trapped in my own brilliance…

seeking Nirvana for days.

But in this crystal cell,

I see a heart made of gold,

I see a man filled with fire,

And the masterkey - to one sincere soul

For that man is me,

But it could be you for all I know,

Every now and then you must become the Locksmith,

Vowing never to let your key go.
