The Crowd
I was never afraid of them, or how they perceived me,
But I was afraid of her, and what she believed…
Her eyes met mine and slowly with time I gathered the courage to approach,
She led me on,
And twirled to the song,
Of sin and masquerade,
I took a risk and received my wish,
As the masses applauded our dance.
A timid man and a gorgeous lass,
Finally together, o’er, alas!
Not a care in the World,
Not a care to give,
For the two laughed on as the outliers wished,
For they wished it was I!
They wished it was he!
Who had the girl in hand and a pint of mead.
Yes, the lad was lucky, who danced with the girl,
For this one night changed his World.
