A Glass at Midnight

Ofttimes I wept of glass tears,

Singing Sacred Scriptures too,

Visions flash from long-lost years…

Of traveler’s mask, mead, and lyre —

Strings of brass ‘til dawn turned blue,

At night I wept of glass tears.

Breath of life come find me near,

In distant lands I am new,

Visions flash from long-lost years…

With golden eyes I see fear,

Reflecting lies, far from true,

At dusk, I wept of glass tears.

Take my hand and leap my dear,

For if we fall I will too,

Visions flash from long-lost years…

In my void I am sincere,

Love of mine I bid adieu,

Aye, I wept of glass tears,

Visions flash of long-lost years…
